We do things differently.
The experience of staying with Respite & Revelry is something our guests notice immediately — and something they reference in nearly every review. It starts before you arrive and it doesn't really end at checkout. Here's exactly what you can expect.

Before You Arrive
About a week before your stay, you'll receive a detailed welcome email from our team with everything you need: check-in instructions, the keypad code, parking details, WiFi information, and a curated guide to the neighborhood with our honest recommendations for where to eat, what to do, and how to make the most of your time in Charleston.
If you've added any concierge services to your stay — grocery pre-stocking, a welcome package, beach setup coordination — our team will be in touch to confirm those details and make sure everything is in place before you walk through the door.
Your kitchen will be stocked with starter provisions: coffee and filters, pantry essentials, dish soap and dishwasher pods, paper towels, and everything you need to feel at home from the moment you arrive.

Checking In
Standard check-in is at 4:00 PM. All of our homes feature contactless keypad entry — no key exchange, no waiting around. Your code is specific to your reservation and activates on arrival day.
If you'd like to request an early check-in, reach out to our team the week of your arrival and we'll do everything we can to accommodate you based on what's available. We can't always guarantee it, but we genuinely try.
When you open the door, the home will be freshly cleaned and inspected by our R&R Sparkle team. Fresh linens, clean towels, bathrooms inspected and stocked. It should feel like the best kind of arrival.
What's in Every Home
Every Respite & Revelry home comes with the same standard of care regardless of which property you're in. Across the collection you'll find:
Bedrooms with fresh hotel-quality linens, extra blankets and white noise machines. Bathrooms stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, fresh towels, and hair dryers. Kitchens equipped with a coffee maker, Keurig, pots and pans, cookware, glassware, and utensils — actually usable, not decorative. Washer and dryer with starter detergent. Smart TVs and high-speed WiFi. Iron and ironing board.
All of our homes also include at least one designated parking space.
The Outdoor Living Situation
This is worth saying explicitly: every Respite & Revelry property has meaningful outdoor space. In Charleston, this is non-negotiable. The piazza is as much a part of the home as the kitchen.
Whether it's a wraparound double piazza, a private garden courtyard, or a shared garden space within one of our collection clusters, you will have somewhere to sit outside, watch the neighborhood go by, drink your morning coffee, and let the city work its magic on you.

During Your Stay
Our team is based right here in Charleston — not in a call center. If something comes up during your stay, you're reaching a real person who knows the property and can actually help. We aim to respond quickly, and we mean it.
If you need anything arranged during your stay — mid-stay housekeeping, additional supplies, a last-minute restaurant recommendation, or any of our concierge services — just reach out and we'll take care of it.
Checking Out
Standard checkout is 10:00 AM. We ask two things: remove all trash from the home and start the dishwasher. Our housekeeping team handles the rest.
If you need a late checkout, reach out the week of your stay and we'll see what's possible. We appreciate the heads up and we genuinely try to accommodate when we can.
After You Leave
A few days after checkout, you'll hear from us — both to make sure everything was right and to invite you to share your experience. Reviews mean everything to a small, locally-owned business, and honest ones from guests who genuinely loved their stay are how we keep doing what we do.
